Helmi Liikanen is a Aalto University graduate, surface designer and a woven fabrics enthusiast. Helmi met Lapuan Kankurit on a study visit to the weaving mill - and an idea for a collaboration sparked. Many of the linen pieces that Helmi has designed for Lapuan Kankurit were created as part of her MA thesis. Often times Helmi gets inspiration from the design process itself, as she plays with materials, colours and structures. Helmi believes in combining design knowledge and craftmanship for textiles with lasting beauty.
Wash separately at 60°C in plenty of water. 40°C is also an adequate wash temperature. Avoid softener and bleach. Do not tumble dry. Normal spin cycle. Iron the textile with cotton settings. The colour of natural linen becomes lighter with washing. Remember to take the textiles out of the sauna always after use, do not dry textiles inside sauna.

We ship our products from Vancouver, Canada and we use Canada Post trackable post service / UPS (depending on the destination).
British Columbia:
Standard: $12 or free for purchase over $120 (before tax).
We don't have express shipping option within British Columbia, as it is usually pretty fast to ship within the province.
Other provinces in Canada
Standard: $18; free for purchase over $180 (before tax).
Express: $18 for purchase over $180; $36 for purchase below $180.
United States:
Standard (4-8 business days): CAD 25; free for purchase over CAD 300 (before tax).
Express (3-4 business days): CAD 25 for purchase over $300; CAD 50 for purchase below $300.
For other regions in the world, shipping fees are varied and please check at the check-out.
All duties resulted in oversea shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
