HIROTA Glass "義山百景 (Giyaman Hyakkei)" Candle Holder with Wooden Stand- Snow Flakes
About Diamante Candela "HYAKKEI"
In Edo period, Diamante was a word that meant "glass". We hope that you will take the time to enjoy the various expressions of traditional arts and crafts in Japanese glass and that is why we have named this candle stands "100 views of Diamante". "Edo Kiriko" is a design that features "Senbon Goushi" lattice with fine vertical bars that has a specific meaning in that it also symbolises warding off evil. In using engraving techniques on Edo Kiriko, we have chosen "Glue Chip Glass" as the material that conjures up impressions of a frosty world and also selected a beautiful and elegant opal-colored "Taisho Roman" to work on. The item can be used both for tealight candles and oil lamp (40 mm diameter). The holder is made from Japanese cypress harvested with consideration for the environment by Tosa-Ryu in Kochi, Japan.
